I have a cage out back under the big pine tree where I raise doves. I now have eight. In the summer they will lay eggs and have one or two babies. In the mornings they coo. I love laying in bed and listening to them. They have been alot of fun. They are pretty tame and will let the grandbabies hold them.

Wow - way to go on all the new posts! I hit the jackpot when I checked your blog this morning. I love it when people post, can't you tell? I can't wait for Audrey to update her post (hint, hint Audrey!) or for Melissa and Heather to start one!
Mom- you are doing a great job posting. See you don't even need my help anymore. Way to go. Love the pictures.
I will have to tell Ryan, he was been trying to get us to raise birds forever. However his motive is not the same as yours. He trains the dogs with them. I know it sound cruel, but he always lets them go once we are done. (This is is the dog hasn't eaten them.)
On second thought maybe I shouldn't tell him about the birds.
Your blog is great. Keep up the good work.

Love your blog! I think I have told you this before, but you have an amazing family, including all of your birds and four legged members. Was it nice to have Lulu for Christmas? I am working to set her up with a least one date with Ted's brother Nathan. Who knows?
The Doves!!!!!!!!!!!!
I miss those messing things and the horses and Mosses. That is so neat.
