DADDY -DAUGHTER Saturday Activity

Today Audrey and Paul spent the whole day in the kitchen making home-made jam.
They made, Apricot Pineapple (thanks to Kelly's mom for allowing Paul to pick the apricots from her tree), and Strawberry/Raspberry Jam, and Orange Marmelade. They were pretty proud of themselves. Can't wait to taste it..

WHY SOME PEOPLE SHOULDN'T PLAY WITH LIGHTERS...

While we were sitting in the front yard waiting for it to get dark enough to light the fireworks Zach had bought for our 24th of July celebration, Aaron grabbed the torch lighter and lit the hair on his legs on fire. He thought it was pretty funny.... me .. not so much!

Views From the Porch of the Playhouse

From the Porch of the Playhouse looking North.. We have alot of fun in this backyard during the summertime.

I found out that the best way to take photos of the kids in the pool was from the porch of the playhouse. Can you imagine how much fun my family could have if I could afford a REAL POOL...

A HOT DAY IN UTAH...

Today (Saturday) it was really hot outside... (over 100%)..so some of the grandkids came over and spent the majority of the day in the pool.. Even little Jacob seemed to like being in the pool and cooling off.

Uncle Aaron & Lydia

Lydia has really started to warm up to Uncle Aaron. She is such a character. She is so sweet and funny, just like her Uncle.

THREE TIRED LITTLE GIRLS....

The day ended at 8:30 in the evening when we had to get all of the kids out of the pool for the day. As usual, Evelyn cried when she was told it was time to go home. She spent the night with us last night too. They looked really tired when I snapped this photo. (Evelyn, Mikayla & Lydia)

DON'T DRINK & FISH.....

Someone should have told this group of guys (and girls) that drinking and fishing, just don't mix. We were driving by the parkway today (driving, not walking) and found this group folks that tried to drive their vehicle across Jordan River.

GOOD NIGHT MOSES!

I don't know if you can see the tall can of beer on top of the car..

LULUBELLE, MICHAEL & JACKSON

All 3 babies are getting their feathers, all are a different color.
Just wanted to everyone how big the baby Doves are getting.

Paul, Zeke & Outdoor Kitty...

For the past 3 years "out door kitty" has been hanging around our backyard. He started out to be very shy, timid and afraid of all of us. Now he will come and sit on Paul's lap and allow himself to be petted and loved. He still is a little afraid of the grandchildren, but he's coming around. He has been taken to be neutered, so no worry of impregnating other kitties. He shares his food with three of our skunks every night. I LOVE ANIMALS...

ONLY A MOM COULD LOVE THESE TWO....

Jake and his awesome hair doo...

Adrienne and Brett's little guy is now six months and he has the most awesome hair doo. Isn't he so cute?

MY MAMOSA TREE IN BLOOM...

I was really upset when Paul took out my Flowering Pear Tree, even though it was dying. In it's place he planted a MAMOSA TREE. (which I had never heard of)... It has taken a couple of years, but this year it is now in bloom. I think the flowers are so unique and beautiful. Ayana told me yesterday, "Nana, someone put fuzzy things all over the on the top of your tree out there>" That's how different the blooms are... truly beautiful!.... right again Paul... I hate to admit it though..

REP MY HOOD... my ass!

Well, this is what we woke up to today. Welcome to Trailorsville! On the 4th of July I happened to inform Aaron that we were going to the MURRAY 4th of July Parade if he wanted to join us. His response was ... "WHAT, why aren't you going to the Taylorsville Parade Mom, shouldn't you 'REP YOUR HOOD'???? My reply...."WHAT?"

MICHAEL, JACKSON, & LULUBELLE

LuLuBell just happened to be born on Melissa (LuLu's) Bithday.. July 1st... so we named this little one LuLuBelle.

NEW ARRIVALS...

This sweet Mama Dove had twins babies on June 28th. We named one of them Michael (the darker one) and Jackson
(the lighter one). Aren't they sweet?

PLEASE REDEEM PROMPTLY..

Well today I had the sniffles, and was a little more than irritated that all of the tissues were gone. However, Aaron informed me that he had several boxes in the garage that he and Ryan pulled out of one of the storage units they had purchased, and I was welcome to have a box. So, Paul goes to the garage and brings me in this pretty gold box of KLEENEX brand tissues. He opens them up for me and says..."Oh honey, here's a coupon for ten cents off." I told him to check the expiration date because the coupon may have expired. Paul checks the the coupon...which on the top says.. REDEEM PROMPTLY.. and reads the expiration date.... JUNE 30, 1977... Can you believe that this box of tissues is 32 years old...Wow... OH BY THE WAY... I sold one of those bottles of cologne from my previous post and the buyer paid $125.00..
